Several
hundred years have passed since settlers first arrived on these shores
and built homes for themselves and their love ones and
fortunately for
us some of those early
American homes are still around
today
and look remarkably good for their age. And that really is a testament
to the many craftsmen and laborers who spend time providing the upkeep
and repairs of these national
treasures.
At
American Painting and
Pressure Cleaning, Inc. we can't
begin to
describe the excitement and adrenalin rush we get when we are called to
do work on these type projects. Our love for this special type of work
grows with each opportunity we get to work on them. From repairing
damaged plaster
ceilings to painting picket
fences we savor each task
and we take the time to allow ourselves to enjoy the experience.
It's no secret, we take our time to do the best possible job we can do
and then we check ourselves to see if there's anything more that can be
done to ensure a near perfect job. Historic Home restoaration and
repairs is truly a joyous work that we do our best to over indulge
ourselves in...and we try to reflect that time and time again.
To be
quite
honest with you it's not everyday that we get to
work on these masterpieces and even though we have been in
the home improvement business
since 1984 we have spent far less time
working on historic
homes than I would've prefered.
With less than a
decade left before retirement I can only look back with a
little regret and a little sorrow when it comes to working on historic
homes. Man, how do I love them. I wish we could spend the rest of our
careers restoring and repairing historic homes--that would be a dream
come true for me and a fitting finale as well.
