Preparation:
The Key To A Successful Painting Job
Before we
even
begin to start painting on your home we carefully inspect it for damage
boards and siding. If we happen to detect any damaged wood we
immediately remove it and replace it before we proceed. Once we install
the new wood we will Spackle the holes and caulk the gaps.
Pressure Washing
This is
just a
preliminary procedure before we begin to pressure wash
the exterior of your home. It's imperative that we try to close all
openings and seal off all holes before we begin washing down your
house. Although we wash with low pressure and low pressure only, we are
still conscious of the fact that water can enter into your
home through any openings that is why we do our very best to
search out any places where water might be able to enter in during the
pressure washing phase of getting the exterior ready to be
painted.
Once all
damaged wood
has been removed and replaced as well as primed
and caulked/puttied then and only then are we ready to begin pressure
washing the exterior of the house. I can not stress the importance of
using quality cleaning solutions as opposed to brute force.
Quality cleaning solutions only require a minimum of water pressure to
remove dirt, grease, grime, mildew, mold and other surfactants and
pollutants that have settled on your house surfaces.
When
operating a
pressure washer safety has got to be placed above
everything else. Nothing is more important than avoiding accidents that
could leave someone seriously injured or worst. Make sure all plants
are protected and the job site is free of anything and anyone that
might venture into your path while you're working.
