A Four Step Typical Exterior Paint Job
On a typical Exterior painting job we may apply these steps accordingly.- We first wash down the house; removing dirt, mold, mildew and efflorescence.
- After the proper drying time, we scrape, mechanically sand (resurface), and
- Prime with an oil base penetrating primer (sometimes 2 coats!);
- We caulk all gaps and putty all holes before applying two coats of a premium acrylic latex paint.
